First Hair Cut

Sammys hair was starting to get a little long, so I thought it was time to get a hair cut. Also part of the problem was that a lot of his original hair was falling out so he had really long wispy hairs, but not too many of them. Not the best look. I told Zan I was only going to cut a little off, I guess I got carried away. The final result is really cute though!! It will grow in really nicely and looks much nicer. More clean cut, just like his daddy!

Where Ella Gets Her Good Looks!

I ran across this picture of me when I was about Ella's age. I see quite the resemblance don't you think? Just had to share.

Swimming In My Sleep

I know Ella has really been enjoying her swimming lessons and doesn't like to leave. I'm guessing this is the reason behind this picture.

I went in to check on her before bed like I always do and found her asleep with her swimming suit on (backwards too). Oh my goodness, it was so funny. I had to show Zan and then take a picture. Always something new around here.

We tried Sam's new diapers today and they worked very well. Now I just need to get some more. I also made some applesauce for him today too. We're going to try it here tonight, I hope he likes it. It turned out really well and was so easy to make. Tomorrow I'm going to try making some peas for him. We've been busy around here..... :)

Just A Little Greener...

I'm taking the plunge into cloth diapers. I've found some that are very cute and very easy to use. They are a little pricey up front, but they will save us money in the long run. They are totally adjustable and fit from 5 - 35 pounds, so should last as long as he needs them. They will cost at least half of the price of diapers for Sam. So that's good. They are hard to find around here though. We had to go to St. Paul to find them. The store that they were in was very cute and had lots of things for Ella to look at too. Here's a picture...

There isn't much else going on around here. My shoulder/neck is much better. I found out from the physical therapist that it wasn't a pinched nerve but a irritated disc in my neck. Apparently I'm just getting old and the discs degenerate from age. It's pretty normal, but mine is just a little out of whack. I have daily exercises that I do and it's really not bothering me much anymore.

New Photos

I've been told that I need to put more recent photos up on the blog. Of course I know, but finding the time to do it is another thing. It seems whenever I remember to update the blog Sam is napping, so I don't want to disturb him. I was watching him in his exersaucer this evening and I noticed that instead of being tippy toed while sitting in it his feet were flat on the ground!! Yikes I can watch him grow right before my very own eyes!

Sammy has been enjoying his cereal too recently. I had to get the kind with the bananas in it because he really didn't like the plain kind. I got the look from that stuff! Ella is half way done with her swimming lessons and is still having a good time. I have more pictures below of the classes. There hasn't been much else going on here other than the usual. Still waiting for the warmer weather so we can get outside a little.

Here are the recent pictures I've taken. Some from swimming and some of Sammy just playing around. He's getting big isn't he???

So I finally caved and went to the doctor today for the pinched nerve in my shoulder. It hadn't gotten any better in a week and this pain really sucks!! Plus Zan can't get my hair into a decent ponytail for the life of him. :) The good news is that it's only muscular and that my shoulder itself is fine. I have an appointment Wednesday with the physical therapist and hopefully they will be able to get it into shape and should start feeling better really soon! It's no fun not being able to play with the kids and hurting so bad only lifting or feeding them. The doctor also prescribed some nice pain meds for me too. Chocolate helps a little too!!

Swimmy Lessons

Ella started swimming lessons last week. She is having so much fun. We weren't sure how she would do as this was her first thing with a class and having to listen to a teacher. She's done really well and loves to participate.

I took some pictures of Ella's swimming class. They were a little far away so the pictures aren't the best. Next time I'm going to bring the big lense. I got some really cute pictures of Sammy while Zan was holding him at the lessons. Then there are a couple of them just playing at home.

Sammy's 4 Month Appointment

Sammy had his 4 month appointment this morning. He's doing just great! He weighs in at 14 lbs., 11 oz., which is the 50th percentile. He is 26 1/4 inches tall, which is the 90th percentile. He's generally moving ahead of the curve with all his motor skills, rolling, sitting up, etc. He didn't like his shots, but seems to have gotten over them.

Well he needs to take a nap and I have to put a warm compress on my shoulder. I pinched a nerve in my right shoulder and can't turn my head any direction without major pain. So hopefully that will help. Ella has her first swimming lesson tonight. I'll let you know how it goes.

New Rudy Model???

Zan thought it would be cute to put his sunglasses on Sammy to take photo. Looks like a model doesn't he? He held pretty still for the photo too. We went to a friends birthday party today at a fire station. Ella had such a fun time running around the firetrucks and playing with the other kids. I forgot my camera, but Kim took some pictures and will forward some to me. I'll post them when I get them.

New Photos

Well I finally got the photos downloaded, but I had to do it the hard way. I took some cute pictures today of them "playing" with each other. They are so cute together. Ella's not so sure about the drool, but she got over it. :)

Well, I guess I've been missing for a while here. How time flies. I do have pictures and a video to upload, but since Zan "fixed" my computer I can't seem to upload them anymore. And he wonders why I don't like people touching my computer.

There isn't much new to report here. Sammy will be 4 months old next week already! I can't believe how big he is getting. We went to the pre-school open house last night and Ella had a really great time. She's really excited to be starting later this year. I think she will have a great time.

I've been busy trying to get everything in order for my new business here. I've got one party booked. Thank you Erica! I think this will fit in nicely with our family. Well I'll try to get my pictures uploaded soon so I can share them.
