There's something about getting your daily workout done in the morning. Mostly the fact that you don't think about the fact that you have to do your workout all day long.
Sam and I went out this morning and ran for almost an hour. The weather was perfect. Not too hot and not too cold.
The weather has been so nice I can't believe it. We've started to get some estimates for work that needs to be done (edging, deck, etc.) to see what we'll get done this year. I can start getting to work on the garden once the fence gets in here in the next couple weeks. I have a feeling this summer is going to go by too fast, but we'll enjoy every minute of it.
I actually turned off the furnace this morning and opened some windows. It's the first time we've been able to open the windows since we moved in. The breeze is so nice!!
Well the kids want me to make lunch and then we're going outside to play. I'll bring my camera and get some pictures. :)

Goings on and New Etsy Items
Not much going on around here. The weather has been good and not so good. On the good days we've been able to get outside and enjoy the sunshine. I've been running outside which has been kinder on my legs. I even pushed the kids in the stroller which is quite the workout. I even get a workout on my arms.
The kids are good. Ella has school pictures (again?) tomorrow. I've never heard of spring pictures. Apparently they take the pictures and you can choose later (after you've seen them) if you want to purchase any. Sounds better I guess. Too bad it's not a nicer day so they can wear more spring/summer outfits.
Now...without further ado.....
Have you checked out my Etsy store lately??? I've put my hats on sale and added new summer things. I've been having so much fun sewing lately that I've got quite a few new things with more to be added soon. (I guess that's why I haven't been blogging much.)
Here are a couple things that you might get to see if you click on the link in the upper right of the page.
Now, go check it out! And of course recommend it to your friends! :)

Oh Happy Day
The weather was oh so beautiful a few days last week! The kids were so excited to get outside and play. So we did!
Unfortunately the warm weather didn't last, but it can only get better from here on out. Right?
Spring break went by so fast! Ella went to the dentist to get her teeth cleaned. I was really dreading this because the last time she wouldn't let them do anything she was so scared. I can blame all her hospital laser treatments for this. Thankfully this time when we went the dental assistant was so great! She showed Ella all the different tools and let her touch them. Then she told Ella what she was going to do. She did so well! Now she thinks the dentist is so much fun and there's no reason to be scared. Whew, one less thing to dread.
I also went to the dentist last week and I'm all clean and healthy too! Needless to say when you try to schedule things during school breaks it makes them go by faster!
Here are some photos of our time outside. I've been enjoying using my new camera lens outside. The natural light is amazing! Bonus is that my camera hasn't been acting up lately. (knock on wood!)

1...2...3!!!
Here's a little video I took the other day of the kids. A little background...
Zan plays this game (1, 2, 3) with the kids where he has them sit on his lap and rolls backwards and then back up again. They have a great time on this "ride". Here's Ella giving Sam a ride.

Playing Catch-Up
Wow, I can't believe how time has been flying. There just aren't enough hours in the day to do all the things that I want to do in a day.
We've been enjoying the warmer weather around here. I've been watching the snow melt and seeing more and more grass in the yard.
There really hasn't been much new going on around here. Ella only has three days of school this week then has the rest of the week and the following week off for spring break. Hopefully the weather cooperates and we can be outside for some of the time.
I've been busy playing with my new toys!!
I purchased a new serger and absolutely LOVE IT!! Then my sewing machine seemed sub-par (sorry grandma) and needed an upgrade. I found this one on clearance at Target and also LOVE IT!! Both machines work so nicely and I don't have to stop and fix this or adjust that and saves so much time. The serger has made sewing things so much faster and the seams are all so clean and neat. There are many different things that I need to learn on it, but I can do the basics for now.
I made this dress for Ella last night.
It turned out really well and if you could see the inside also you would see that it was very neat. :)
She wanted to wear it and I explained that it's for the summer and needs to be warmer outside. She wondered what was taking summer so long to get here. I didn't have a good answer...
I'm excited to get my seeds started in the next week or so. I really can't wait to get my garden growing this year. I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but I'm really looking forward to it!
Well, like I've said there really hasn't been much going on around here. I've been baking a little bit. Made a really large cake sized cookie and frosted it. (See photos on other blog.) We decided that it was corner's birthday so we had a little party. Lit a candle and sang happy birthday. Sam was very sad that it wasn't puppy's birthday, so we re-lit the candle and sang happy birthday to puppy too. The kids had a fun time. I had a fun time eating the cookie cake!

March Into March
I'm very excited to see March on my calendar instead of February! Especially since it's been so nice outside. I even took down some of the Christmas lights today, yay!!
I'm getting ready to start my seedling's inside in the next couple of weeks. Ella told me that she wanted her own garden, so we're going to have one big one for me and another smaller one for Ella. She wanted daisies and sunflowers. She also wanted lots of fruit but after I explained to her that most fruit grows on trees she's okay with strawberries and gourds. I'm sure she'll want more things in there too, but we'll just have to see.
She's been running a slight fever over the weekend with no other symptoms, but tonight it went up to 102 so I took her to Target to get checked out. Turns out one of her eardrums had ruptured. That would explain the fever with no other symptoms. I even asked her if anything hurt and she always said no. Although tonight she said her ear was a little crusty. :)
So she's on antibiotics and some ear drops. She'll be fine. I mean she is fine other than the unexplained (now explained) fever. She can even go to school (which is good because she did today). Her ear infection from last month probably never totally cleared up in the one ear. We'll go back in a couple weeks to make sure that everything is all good.
Speaking of going to school today I totally overslept this morning. The alarm went off, but not really so I didn't hear it. Woke up about 5-10 minutes before the bus came. Needless to say we missed the bus, but I got her and Sam up and ate breakfast before I drove her to school. She got there about the same time as normal and didn't miss a beat. The kids were still being dropped off by the buses. Although I'm kind of beat from running around all morning like a crazy lady. Rest assured I will not do that again any time soon!
