Playing in the Snow

It's currently 8:45 a.m. and I'm in Sam's room typing this and he's still snoozing away. I came in and he looked at me and went back to sleep. I thought for sure me typing away on the computer would wake him up, but no, sound asleep.

The other day when it was a little warmer out I decided to let the kids outside to play in the snow. It was Sam's first time in his snow pants and he wasn't so sure about them. He had a hard time walking around inside the house and, well, once you got him in the snow he really couldn't walk. I put him down on the snow and he played in it for a few minutes. Needless to say after a few minutes he really wanted to go back inside. Ella had a lot of fun though and maybe when it gets warmer outside he'll enjoy it a little more.

Oh, and Sam's still asleep........

Love pictures of the kids in the snow. It looks like their grandpa's picture, when he was just a little guy,in the snow. Pretty cute. Love Ella's pink snow suit and hat. Sammy looks like the Pillsbury dough boy in blue.Adorable.

Isn't it funny how we spend so much time getting our children ready to play in the snow and once there, they are all like "okay, I'm cold". Maybe if they had more mobility they'd like it more? Actually, my girls are starting to play more in the snow. How is your Ella? Does she want to stay out longer?

Oh yeah Nancy, Ella totally loves to be outside. Even if she's cold she doesn't care. After Sam and I came inside I let her stay outside for a while longer and we watched her from inside. :)

Vicki likes the owls (I think they are cute too). Yep that must be why us guys don't like to wear snow pants it slows us down. I bet Sammy was funny in them. It's nice to hear that Ella likes the cold outside and you can see that in the pictures. I can also see that Sammy isn't overly happy about being in the snow.
